This document governs your use of the Rewri mobile application ("App", "Service") developed and operated by Rewri ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, uninstall the App immediately.

Rewri requests Android's Accessibility Service permission solely to:
Rewri also monitors the device clipboard solely to detect when you copy text from an active text field, in order to offer rewriting of that specific copied text. Clipboard content is read in real-time and never stored, logged, or transmitted without your explicit tap on a tone button.
This disclosure satisfies Google Play's Prominent Disclosure requirement under the Accessibility API policy. The Accessibility Service is used exclusively to enable the core rewriting functionality described above not for analytics, advertising, or any secondary purpose.
Your text and tone selection are transmitted over HTTPS to a Supabase Edge Function hosted at supabase.co. Supabase processes the request in memory and immediately forwards it to OpenAI. Supabase does not persist your text. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Your text is sent to OpenAI's API to generate the rewritten version. OpenAI's data use policy applies to this processing. By using Rewri you acknowledge and accept OpenAI's Privacy Policy and Usage Policies. As of the effective date of this policy, OpenAI states that API inputs are not used to train models by default. We cannot guarantee future changes to OpenAI's policy.
Text submitted for rewriting is processed in real-time and not stored by us after the API response is returned. Anonymised crash logs are deleted after 30 days. Aggregated analytics contain no personally identifiable information and may be retained indefinitely.
Because we do not store personal data, there is nothing to delete on request but you may contact us at any time and we will confirm this in writing.
The Rewri mobile app does not use cookies. If you visit our website (rewri.app), standard web cookies may be used for session management and analytics. You may opt out via your browser settings. We do not use cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or advertising trackers.
Rewri is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
All data transmitted between the App and our backend is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. API credentials are stored server-side only and are never embedded in the App binary. We follow industry-standard security practices; however, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Use the App at your own risk.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal or professional purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or sublicense the App.

The App, its design, and code are owned by Rewri. AI-generated output is provided "as-is"; we make no claim of ownership over it, but you are solely responsible for how you use it.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (a) the App will be error-free or uninterrupted; (b) AI-generated output will be accurate, appropriate, or fit for any purpose; (c) the App is free from viruses or harmful components.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL REWRI, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10.
AI OUTPUT DISCLAIMER: Rewri uses third-party AI (OpenAI) to rewrite text. We are not responsible for the accuracy, tone, appropriateness, or legality of AI-generated output. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any rewritten text before use.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rewri and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel (or the jurisdiction of the developer's primary residence), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or a notice on our website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
